Garmin Connect Website unavailable

And I thought it was me...

But for anyone else struggling it seems Connect is down. Also reported via http://downdetector.com/status/connect-garmin

Interestingly I also checked their support site but got the page "We’re sorry.Something went wrong, and our site is temporarily unavailable. We’re already working to get things back on course."

I can't connect to Garmin Connect today (Jan 10/18). I don't know if there are problems with Garmin's servers but all I get is an error message saying my Forerunner failed to sync, try again.
