Having taken up running a short while ago and having well and truly been bitten by the bug, I purchased a 235 last week. Overall the watch seems great but I have a few specific questions for those who have been using theirs for a while now.
I have used Garmin connect to set up specific workouts, i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 with 1 min rest for 1,2,3 and 75 seconds rest for 4, and 5.
Now that worked well and I was able to do the workout. The problem arose when I was looking to set a max HR Alert for this specific workout. How do I set an Max HR alert for this workout at say 171? Garmin connect does let you set an Intensity Target with Specific HR Zones or a custom range. Is this how it would be done?
I don't want to set a low HR Alert, I only want to be alerted when I am hitting 171 during my work out. Can this be done?
I have set an Max HR Alert for the "Run" Profile which works when just out for a run but it does not seem to be active during a workout, even though I selected the "Run" profile whilst entering the specific workout.
