Great day,

I am just getting to know my new 235... And was wondering if anybody has used it to perform a run - walk workout...

Thank you!!

You could do it throught the "intervals" section in (for instance) run. Where rest = walk. Or you can create a custom workout in Garmin connect and download/send to the 235 through garmin express or mobile.

    Do the custom workout

    They are awesome!

If I was going to do 30 intervals of run-walk I would set it up like this:

    5:00 mins warm-up

    15 intervals of:
run X minutes, walk X minutes

    15 intervals of:
run X minutes, walk X minutes

    5:00 mins of cooldown

This will work for an out and back and let you notify of the turn-around point.

Or you could just set a custom alert on the FR235 (which could be one-off or recurring) for Time=(30X+5)‑minutes, without having to mentally equate Step‑3 in that custom Run workout means turning around. In fact, there is already a ‘Turn Around’ alert option (which is just a custom alert with the message ‘Turn Around’ and the repeat toggle set to Off by default) for the user to select.
