Garmin/Nike Forerunner 235

Hi Folks,
I currently have a basic Forerunner 15 and was thinking of getting one of the more advanced versions. Prior to getting a Garmin, I had always been using the Nike+ app on my phone to keep track of my data. So when the partnership between Nike & Garmin enabled sync'ing of data I was thrilled.

With this new Garmin/Nike version of the 235, what is the difference between sync'ing data to Nike+? Is the data going from watch -> Garmin Connect -> Nike + or is it going directly from watch -> Nike+?

Thanks
Darren

    watch -> Garmin Connect -> Nike +

    But that is not always smooth.

    The outdoor runs recorded by Garmin do not always display a map once uploaded onto Nike +. Actually my outdoor runs never displaying maps since I bought my first Garmin watch in October 15 (had a 225 before upgrading to 235 in Dec). I believe that stopped fully working in June 15 or something like that from what I read.

    But recently I sometimes have a map which is displayed on Nike + quite randomly and cannot explain why or how this happens. I'd say that every 5/6 outdoor runs, 1 or them will have a map and then it stops. That is really odd.
    That transfer perfectly on Strava though.

    Also my treadmill runs are totally uncalibrated for some reason on my watch. On Connect I can amend the distance easily but on Nike + I cannot. You cannot amend run uploaded from third party watches on Nike +. I have to delete it and manually input it again with the correct distance. But I lose every other data besides total distance and time...

    I have contacted Nike +, they said they are working on this but nothing happens. It seems they have stopped developping the app a long time ago now. They announced a revamp yesterday actually which should arrive in June so I hope this will fix all these issues. But that looks more like a shopping / product marketing driven revamp from what I saw so I have low expectations.

    I've had the 235 for about a month now, and every single one of my runs (15+) has uploaded a map to Nike+. I'm not sure why you're having this problem, but it is definitely not across the board.
