Wrong date and time?

Hello!

My 230 froze while I was scrolling through notifications and I had to hold the on/off button for 10 seconds to restart it. Once I restarted it, the date was incorrect as was the time. I even reset my watch completely and redownloaded the Garmin app on my phone but I can't get the date to change to the correct day or time. I've tried syncing it multiple times and turning the blue tooth on and off.

How do I fix this?

Reset, press the activity button once and leave it on a table to sync with GPS (may need to try twice).

After having the battery replaced I could not sync with automatically (GPS). Summary of solution...

Create an account at https://sso.garmin.com/
Select Profile & Account icon
1. Upper right corner
2. Round light gray circle with a dark gray profile
Select Account Settings from drop down window
Select the appropriate time zone.
1. When the day, date, and minutes are correct you may need to change the hour for Day Light Savings Time.
2. This is completed using the watch.
  1. Turn off auto update by turning off Set Automatically from Settings > Clock
  2. Now set the time.
  3. Return watch to set the time automatically, if desired.

Good luck with resetting the time and date once the watch has been reset to the factory default. Also I recommend updating to the latest software. These updates can take hours. The percentage displayed changes very slowly. A check every 15 minutes should be long enough to see a percentage change..

This website just lists files which are online, so won't help for 7.81 on its own.
7.81 is linked in this thread as description and as direct file, both are offline.

You can try archive.org to check for copies of links
or use 7.90 which is still online and linked few posts above.
