Prices and Availability

Can we monitor stock and prices please. www.Bournesports.co.uk is offering cheapest pre-release price I can find at £255+Delivery but they don't offer the red variant, or http://www.humberrunner.co.uk/ ~ £260 inc delivery.
Release date on both sites has changed over the weekend from 31st October to 6th November/shipping early November. Garmin UK says retail price is £270. Amazon.com has them at $330 which is about £215 with a release date of 2nd December. Neither Garmin UK or US showing a release date yet.
  • I asked runningwarehouse.eu yesterday, will report if/when I hear back.

EDIT - Heard back, no ETA

    Amazon is sold out :-O
  • Amazon is temporarily out of stock. "Sold out" implies they won't get any more, which I doubt is true.

Assuming this rollout follows the pattern of previous device rollouts, and there's no reason to think it won't, Garmin starts by shipping smaller quantities to retailers in batches, then ramps up deliveries. Amazon, REI, or any other retailer may get a batch of stock in today then another batch in a day or a week. Best thing to do if you're eager to get one is place your order with your preferred retailer and it'll ship when it comes in.

I never knew that sold out implies they won't get any more...

    But yeah, they are out.
  • 235£

I bought a 235 as a present for my brother's birthday for exactly 235£ (makes sense considering the name ;)) from StartFitness shop in Newcastle upon Tyne. Good price huh?

btw they got them in since Wednesday last week

Interesting, that's always been the case with "sold out" hotel rooms, concert tickets, airline seats, or other things where there's a finite supply and it's all been sold. No worries, use the phrase however you feel like.

Personally I'd recommend REI for folks in the US as it seems there's still some question whether the optical HRM will work well for an individual as well as some question about battery life. Looks like Clever Training has the frost blue in stock if that's your preferred color; be sure to use DCRainmaker's VIP program to save some $ (and help his website out).

Hi, ordered mine direct from the Garmin UK web site, should be arriving soon.

I'm a new Garmin user, been using the Fitbit HR for about a year for general fitness tracking and the odd run and HIIT session, so looking forward to getting this new bit of kit soon. :D
