Tacx Vortex Smart

Just seen we now have a Tacx forum, yay. Anyone know of any enhancements the Garmin pairing with Tacx is likely to bring?

I've just become interested! Picking up a Vortex Smart from someone heading back to Europe after a lengthy sojourn in NZ shortly. It's going to be cupboard based for now as we're just heading into Spring. But next winter..

Would be good to see interoperability between tacx and Garmin apps. The ability to import a tacx workout into Garmin connect so keeping all workouts in one format. 

Have just discovered a way that seems to work for getting tacx data not Garmin connect.  In Tacx train8ng app, select profile. There is then an option to email tcx file.  I have then saved this emailed file into a folder on my hard drive. Then within Garmin connect selected upload option, highlighted tacx file and then uploaded and at first look the data appears to be all there in Connect.

Mines just does after 4 years  no green light any more.ive checked it’s not the cable so I guess it’s the electronics. Anyone got theirs repaired?

My Tacx Vortex Smart also just died on me last week. No green light. No nothing. Any luck with yours, chunkywizard? 

No luck. I emailed [email protected] a week ago and not even a reply :-( what’s the best email address to contact for Tacx support?

Got a reply now. I needed to replace the Electro Unit SKU S2180.08. Cost me £120. It's come, fitted and my trainer is working again
