Tacx Neo 2T and desktop application windows resistance problems zwift ok

I have just migrated from Tacx flux to brand new Neo 2T, same bike, same W10 pc, same BT dongle and same Tacx own brand Ant+ puck thingy, plus CoospoRide HRM dual comms

TDA latest version, Neo is connected via ANT, HRM also

i have a premium account so downloaded videos previously, if I try to ride any of them the resistance is poor even a 6% incline is easy peasy

in frustration I downloaded the zwift app and hey presto Neo is now controlled and resistance appears on inclines

i have removed TDA and installed again, without deleting any folders I might add, and tda remains the same a gentle jaunt

this proves that the trainer responds correctly possibly it is TDA at fault or hidden settings somewhere that zwift ignores or overwrites

just about to try a video in low resolution without downloading to see whether the previous download combines additional data depending on trainer

anybody else had the same experience, please don’t reply with any MAC answers as it probably doesn’t apply in this scenario

  • I have a Tacx NEO 2T Smart bought from Decathlon France a year ago and yesterday it decided to stop the resistance under Bkook after riding for 1 hour in a cool place (only 19°c and 55% humidity in a big basement (38m²), and bad smell from the wheel vents like the electronics were burning and the wheel was turning off at full speed indefinitely! I decided to unplug it after 20 minutes. After 2 hours, I tried to test it under Tacx Training - and the resistance seemed to work but under Bkool never came back I also tested with zwift but even forcing as much as possible (I currently do an average power of 230W) the max power seen by zwift was less than 50w and the resistor didn't move! i took a video of that i don't know if i can post it here, it just left sav today...

  • here is the video
