Daily step goal is a bit useless, can we have weekly targets?

Daily step goals don't really make any sense for me as I usually do longer walks on weekends or free days but don't have so much time on working days, why can't they be weekly goals (like the activity goal)?

If I set a fixed step target, if it's low enough that I can meet it on most days, then on weekend walks beep me every few kilometers that I have reached x times my goal already.

The automatic calculation is even worse. It goes down during the week to very small and then, after long weekend walks, jumps up to a very high value that I can never achieve on the Monday afterwards.

So in the end it doesn't give me any useful information, it just tells me that I miss my target on most days even though I walk a lot in total. The point of a target is to give me feedback how far away I am, but this doesn't.

Is it possible to set weekly step targets?

How do people use the step target feature in a useful way?
