Vivosport stops mid activity

I am having problems with my vivosport stopping mid activity.
I am tracking myself refereeing so my activity is stop / start -- walk, run, stay still, run etc. I think it is automaticaly stopping when the GPS detects I am not moving for a while? but there is no mention in the manual of that happening

Auto Pause is OFF
Auto Lap is OFF
Alerts are OFF
Run mode is FREE
  • Have you disabled the screen coming on every time you touch it? If not, perhaps it's cancelling by rubbing against your sleeve?
I'd find this device unusable without autolock switched on...
    • Hold the touchscreen to view the menu.
    • Select > Auto Lock.
    • Select an option.
    • Double tap the touchscreen to unlock the device.
  • thank you. It was OFF so thank you - I'll try that

    this worked - thank you.
clearly I was touching the screen at some point and stopping it.
  • Have been having the same problem, only cross country skiing though. Would turn off sometime mid workout. Looked as you said, and I have two options, lock or lock during workout, so have it set to lock during workout and see if that resolves it. I suspect it will!
