Getting random Timer events after updating to v3.0.0

Yesterday, I used Garmin Express to update my brand new VivoSport to v3.0.0 and everything worked nicely until today. I was typing on my computer (not using the VivoSport in any way other than wearing it) when suddenly it vibrated and showed the "Timer Started" screen.

WTF? I canceled the event and discarded it, but now it's decided to start another timer event on its own every 10 minutes. I just used the tracker for walking and didn't get any unusual events during the walk, but 20 minutes after that ended the Timer Started screen came on again and then did it again 10 min after I canceled that one.

Has anyone else experienced this? I also just realized that it's no longer connecting to my Galaxy S8, so I'm going to restore the default settings and re-pair the device to see if that helps.

Mar 28 UPDATE: It's been over 24 hours since I reset my Vivosport, and after setting it up (again) and pairing it with my phone (again), everything is working normally now!
  • While everything seems to be working correctly with the vivosport itself, I'm finding that almost none of the info is getting to the Garmin Connect app, and even less is making it to the web.

For example, yesterday I walked and tracked 3 separate times for a total of 7.5 miles, and those walks appear on the My Day app screen, but the Intensity Minutes value hasn't budged since I updated to 3.0.0 three days ago. The same app screen shows yesterday's calories as 682, when it should be something like 2500. So far today I'm at 0 calories, despite being alive and wearing my tracker since midnight, so I'm going to contact support to see if they can help get everything working and back in sync
