What sort of battery life are people seeing? Anything near to the 7 days in smart watch/tracking only mode? Theme of recent Garmin watches seem to be battery specs not reflecting real world usage, so just wondering what people are seeing.
In general, I've opted to just keep bluetooth disabled except for a minute or two when I sync to the app. Other than Move IQ and HR monitor, I don't think I'm using any of the features. I haven't dared even try using the built in GPS.

What else could I look at that uses battery or is this device just pooched. As I said, I initially started getting 6 or 7 days out of it, and that was with Bluetooth enabled.
How do I disable just the Smart Notifications without disabling bluetooth? "Phone notifications" under Notifications and Alerts?
Yes that's the idea. However, reading your next comments, I guess your VivoSport is not working the way it should! I still have a full week of autonomy, and even tried to register a Paddle Tennis session (as "Cardio" activity), which was as good as the ones I regularly register with my 935.
I downloaded the 3.30 GCD file, renamed it to GUPDATE.GCD, copied it to \GARMIN on the device, disconnected and did a restore defaults, but the device is still showing 3.40. What am I doing wrong? I have not repaired with my phone yet.
