Display will not turn on with Gesture (raising wrist)

While I have my "Gesture" Display setting as "on", the display will only turn on with a double tap.
When the setting on "Only During Activity" its working fine "during the activity", and it turns on while I raise my wrist.

Does anybody know how to solve this issue, or might it be a software problem?

I have a Garmin Venu....I had my 'Do not Disturb' function on which is why my gesture display was not working. As soon as i turned it off, my gesture setting worked perfectly.

My Venu for some reason decided to switch the "Do Not Disturb" option on even though I was not in my sleep period. Weird. I definitely didn't switch that on. Anyway, once I had set that back to "off" I…

I could not figure out why gestures wasn't working, stupid DND. i'm removing that as a shortcut!

Same for me, fixed now. Reading the other posts I was trying to stop Do Not Disturb from the app, which didn't work. When I did it through the watch, the Moon icon, then it worked.

Settings -> System -> Backlight -> Not During Activity (or During activity) -> Gesture -> On

It fixed it for me too. As a matter of fact, I thought the “do not disturb” but was off when it was actually turned on. I made this mistake because the icon show a slash line through it when it’s off. Anyways others should click on the “do not disturb and then see if the gestures work
