Menu button

Does anyone have any issues with the menu button? I press the button many times and it doesn't enter the menu, or if in a widget or activity, it doesn't respond at all to touch? How hard do I need to press? Perhaps mine is defective?
  • Updating the firmware to 2.5 fixed this...it must have been a software issue.
  • Less than a week after I thought this was fixed, I now have no response from the menu button! Does anyone else have this issue?
  • Just bought one for my wife and I am unable to get the menu button to work, did you have any joy?
  • it will work for a few days, and then stop. I then have to reset it (which is difficult when the menu button only works sporadically), and then re-pair, and it will work for a few days again... Rinse. Repeat.
  • After owning it for one day I sent it back for repair.................not impressed at all

    After 7 week's of owning it and being fine, my menu button no longer responds at all either. :(

    Edit: Plugging it into the computer seems to reset it and makes it work again
  • I am still awaiting a replacement from Garmin, who have informed me the earliest it will be is 20 November as they do not have any available.
  • We recommend to connect your device to a computer using Garmin Express to verify all the software updates have been installed on the device. This will also allow the device to connect to the charging cable, which will let it do a reboot. If all the updates have been installed and the issue persists, please contact your local Product Support. This will allow us to collect more data from the device so we can get this matter further escalated.

    Hello Kara, is this menu button issue fixed already since mine now after having a rest for several months still has menu button issue. Already plugged in to a computer last night and updated the software but still has unresponsive button.  Is there a planned fix or should stop buying defective products from Garmim?  Thanks.

    My vivofit 4 has worked well for several months and now the screen is locked on the time of day and the button does not do anything. I could not even get it to do a reset.
