Most likely you can't fix it. The Vivomove HR display seems to have a relatively limited life, mine stopped working (after slowly having become dimmer and dimmer) at the 2 and 1/2 year mark.
Best course of action is to contact directly Garmin Support. Depending in which country you are and the warranty length there you may get a replacement.
