VivoMove HR no notifications

Hello,

I have a vivomove HR and a Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 phone, and my watch cannot show the notifications.

In my phone settings I set every permission to "ON" including "Phone".

However, the Garmin Connect app still shows that "Phone" permission is "OFF", so I cannot receive notifications on the watch.

What can I do ?

  • In fact, notifications work perfectly. But it needed a little head scratching...

    It seems that the initial pairing with the watch didn't went well a week ago despite the fact that everything excepted the notifications worked as expected.

    So I :
    Uninstalled Garmin Connect from the phone,
    Deleted the watch in the Bluetooth settings on my phone,
    Then resetting the watch from the settings (on the watch).
    When the watch asked me to download Garmin Connect, I did it, then I went through the setup process again, following the prompts exactly.

    Without any action, the notifications started to appear. Basically if your watch sends and receives your fitness data correctly, there is a 99% chance that these steps would correct the issue.
