Vivoactive 4S battery life

I have a new Vivoactive 4S for Christmas 2020  it has about a 10 hour battery life even without any activities and all things turned off except heart rate monitor. I understand there is an engineering fix being looked at. But I want to know if there is any news? I have tried everything,  and have exchanged for a new one, same issue. Very disappointed. Garmin please help. I read older posts about same issue, said to mention

  • As I explained, the passive calories are always counted. They are the same every hour, if you run or sleep or keep the watch in a drawer.

    Thx!

  • I have a Venu and my wife a 4S. With the same settings (plus a custom watch face (Crystal) for mine), mine lasts several days and my wife's watch, which was at 100% last night is now at 6%! She hasn't done any training with it today, just wore it. We bought them from Amazon for this Christmas so I guess my best option will be to return it to them and get a new one.

8 minutes later update, she should get a new watch by Saturday Slight smile

Having similar issues. Just bought the Vivoactive 4 Arrived yesterday 64% battery and i just did set up yesterday and two bike rides today. Going to bed now with 11% battery.

Went though old posts and turned all suggested battery drains off. If the battery is this bad I will be returning it for my money back.

My old cheep watch €40 was able to last a week or more so I expected a least a week from the Vivoactive 4

Update#1 changed the settings Bluetooth and notifications tuned off and went back to standard watch face. Lost 2% battery last night. Will charge today and test battery drain

  • GPS activities consume quite a lot of power, so you can not expect one week of battery life if you have several bike rides.

Each bike ride was only about 30 mins. Looks like it may have been the watch face and having Bluetooth and notifications on. Chnaged the settings last night and only lost 2% battery. Will charge today and see how it goes

  • Since last update i have huge battery drain 10 hours already lost15% doing nothing. This needs fixing

If you connected blue tooth earphones make sure you forget them on the watch. It keeps searching for Bluetooth devices and turn off notifications from ur phone messages etc.

That fixed mine. I have used 20% in day and half with GPS on for about 2-3 hours

  • I don't think you have to forget the earphones. It is enough to set them to "off".
