HRM-Dual Monitor battery issue

I have an HRM-Dual Heart Rate Monitor that's about a year old.  After an initial connectivity issue, the monitor has worked pretty flawlessly, until this week, when it started quickly running down it's battery.  If I insert a new battery, it'll last through a workout, but then when I go to use it again the next day, the battery is worn down to the point where the watch cannot find it.  Put in a new battery - the same thing happens.  Any similar experiences out yhere?  Any known resolutions?

  • Hey there! I am sorry to see this has happened. If the device is not holding the battery, its likely the HRM needs to be replaced.

  • Thanks for the recommendation.  Given my historical connectivity issues with Garmin Dual HRM,  I replaced it with a CoolSpo monitor.   The module comes with its own strap, but fits into my already adjusted Garmin strap,  so I use my old strap with the new module.   Connection to my watch was immediate.  I have had no connectivity issues like I had with the Garmin branded product.  It's been working flawlessly.   At about 1/3 of the cost of the Garmin Dual,  it is definitely recommended by me.   The Garmin unit latest only about a year.
