CHRM not compatible with vivo move HR can I use it independently

my vivo move hr continues to provide horribly inaccurate HR information whilst training. I have tried all of the troubleshooting options suggested by garmin support. They replaced the device but the issues haven’t improved. I have brought a chest heart rate monitor but I don’t believe it is compatible unless I can use it independently and manually input the data onto the garmin app? Does anyone know if this is something I am able to do? I have emailed garmin support some of my activities so they can probe further into it. Anyone else had this issue..

It seems to support ANT. Did you try to add it to the watch ? Settings-> Sensors & accessories->add new-> Heartbeat ? The sensor must be on obviously, so I would do this when strapped in.

Not sure if ANT is supported, ANT+ is but the descriptions I found on the sensor is measly ;-) I use a Magene H64 which is ANT+ and works perfectly this way. You do realize that is is only active during an activity ? So it uses wrist based unless you start someting.

This seller seems to think is is compatible ;-) Like I said could not Google a lot on it.
