I have a PC, so I cannot check if it works, but you can try or google other solutions. 

Hello. On the watch go to settings/system under USBmode select MTP media transfer. I had to make sure this setting was selected so my Linux box could see it.

Hoping this has fixed the Bluetooth instability with headphones I was experiencing on 5.90. 

EDIT: It hasn't this is becoming a joke now.

I've never done a manual update before and it doesn't appear to have worked. I connected watch to my computer and downloaded the file which I placed in the Garmin folder on my PC. I've then disconnected the watch and synced. I've gone to updates but it says none available. Have I done something wrong? (Reason I'm doing it is to get the golf images back).  

You need to unzip the file and place gcupdate.gc in the garmin dir, there are readme instructions in the zip It should update after you disconnect from usb directly.

Yep, unzipped and have GUPDATE.GCD and GUPDATE_590.GCD - the read file just tells me how to revert back to original software version. There are a number of folders in the Garmin folder but have just placed below those.

Just put gupdate.gcd in the garmin dir, when you disconnect it should start the update process. It worked for me every beta. In express you still see 5.90, on the watch you can check sw versions and you see 5.91.please stop express before the file moves just to be sure it does not meddle (it by default stays active in the background).
