Pause activity tracker feature isn't there?

Just got the vivoactive 3 music and was actually excited about the pause activity feature that's in the online manual under settings>activity setting>status. I want to be able to pause activity, but that feature is not on my new watch after all the updates. There is no "status" option in the activity tracking tab in The settings. Do those of you with the most up to date versions still have this feature on your watch in the settings? I even saw it on a YouTube video tutorial of the settings so I know it is supposed to (or used to) be there.

Thank you!

  • A question, are you looking for auto pause ? It is available as a setting when you start an activity, not in the general settings.

     I want to be able to stop my steps. On the online manual there is a feature under settings>activitytracker>status that is supposed to stop tracking all steps, heart rate etc. The "status" option is not there at all. I'm trying to make sure it's supposed to be there and that my watch is just defective.

    If you could literally go to setting activity tracker then tell me what your first option is once you're in there, then that'd be all I need.

     it is the top feature on this screen shot. It isn't on my watch. Trying to determine if I need to return my watch or not.

  • I have a settings->activity tracking-> status switch in my menu.

    Yeah. I don't have it. I think I have to return my watch. Thank you.

  • It does not stop heartrate/steps, it switches keeping activity, movement timers,target warnings and auto activity starting as well as tracking active minutes. .

    No, it's supposed to stop tracking steps as seen in this manual. You can do it from the app as well, but I need the feature on my watch. I have seen tutorials with this very watch on YouTube and have called Garmin support. They say it's supposed to be there. I'm just trying to double check before I return mine and pay full price (Garmin can't help too much because I bought cheaper from a third party vendor).

  • Interesting, I mistakenly turned it off and I did not notice tracking to be stopped, rather than not registering the active minutes anymore. I did not check explicitly, anyway, I stand corrected by the manual.
