If you're having trouble updating with the Mobile app, try connecting your device to your computer and using Garmin Express.
Is there a way to force an update to the latest version? When looking under software versions on watch I'm not sure I see the version under "about". I see ID number, something about FCC version, then Advanced Heart Beat and Mac Address.
