Vivoactive 3 wifi

Just received as a gift. Holly crap, it is driving me absolutely nuts because it will not connect to wifi. So, despite the irritating 'look how easy it is to connect the watch' videos, it simply doesn't work. Looking back over this supposed 'help' section, I can see people have had the problem for at least 2 years now...,what on earth are Garmin doing, cant they get someone to deal with this ***? Also had a message saying 'your posting frequency to this site has exceed allowed rates, please wait 5 mins to post again'!!!!!! This is the only bloody post i have put up here!!!!!!

I have not read the manual at least for a year or more, but telling you it is very useful.

You cannot connect the watch VA3 to wifi...you connect it to Garmin Connect on your cellphone with bluetooth...and btw

in the past 16-18 months I never lost the connections to go through a process again, the reconnect always worked...on android (and my S9+) at least.

To clarify my word - reconnect...meaning I left my cellphone at front door or upstairs and I am doing some let saying elbow greasing in my backyard. When the two meat again reconnected so far without me interacting.

As bigHUN wrote, the Garmin vivoactive 3 uses Bluetooth to connect to your phone running the Garmin Connect app.

The Garmin vivoactive 3 Music on the other hand also has WIFI, but you also need the Garmin Connect app to setup WIFI on the watch. It is also possible that the watch is not compatible to the settings of your WIFI network - have you tried different WIFI networks?

It is absolutely CRAP when it comes to WiFi. You can only connect to old IPV4 or older. Mine worked with my 10 year internet provider till I did get a IPV6 for faster internet.... Its utter crap! I have the watch for 1.5 years now, other than being unable to connect my Sportify Playlist because of WiFi, with the App, it works well.

The real *** is the INDEX Smart Scale. It does not work without WiFi... I got one as a Christmas present, I have already packed it to send it back. Its such a frustration.
