Garmin connect has no map data for a run

I did my first Half Marathon, tracking it as a run on my VA3m. There were a few hiccups in syncing to Garmin Connect because the connectivity was poor. Later, the sync completed, and I have all the splits BUT NO MAP DATA. It uploaded to Strava, where it was declared a Treadmill Run, but Garmin Connect lists it as a "run."

Anyone know WTF?

Thanks!

Here is the link. Thanks for any help!

I also just found that the watch was not syncing and reset the bluetooth connection. This may have overwritten the data on the watch, I fear.

  • This may have overwritten the data on the watch,

I find it unlikely. All the activity data is in one file, so if it were overwritten, then the whole activity would be lost.

By the looks of it, there was no GPS during the whole run. Either it was turned off inadvertently, or there was no GPS fix for another reason.

    That is so disappointing!

I just tried initiating a run, and there is an option to turn the GPS off, but it is apparently set to "on." (I've never turned it off.)

I'll have to try a test run to see if it's working now. (When my legs recover!) I guess this means the pace information was based on cadence. I did notice during the run that it was uncharacteristically late on the miles (usually it's early).
