VivoActive 3 without Notifications

Hi all, I have a new VA3 since 2 weeks and after 3 days of connect the VA to my One+ 5T the notifications were lost, the only way to recover it was to uninstall the app in the smartphone and start the process to link both, the notifications started pretty well but after 3 days the same problems, the symptom occurred through sleep time. After each reinstalled process all the sync data were lost so it isn´t a workaround for me. Anyone with the same problems on Android? I´ve seen that other people are suffering the same problems on iOS 13...

    Hello,

    I'm having this issue either.

    For me, the workaround is restarting phone.

    I have an Oneplus 6. It seems, in my opinion, something related to Oxygen OS.

    I leave in Brazil, here we don't have support system from Garmin anymore. If you leave in a country where Garmin support exists, please open a ticket to they to be aware of this issue.

    Thank you for your answer, I´ve restarted the One+ but notifications still not working. I´ll try to  open a ticket in Spain.

    Good luck. I hope that Garmin Europe be better than Garmin South America...

  • Did you check your phone's permissions as well as settings in the Connect app?

    Yes, all ok, and didn´t change after reinstalled the app in the phone. If it work tree days after the re installation process and after a midnight period stopped and I received a message in the phone that the notifications process has been stopped is not a problem of settings. I can imagine that the phone when don´t see activity with the smatwatch could stop the sync process but a restart of the phone no solve the problem, only when I re install the app (losing all the data and activities)

    Yes, I agree with you, I´ve opened a ticket with Garmin Spain

    There is another thread in the Garmin Forum of Apps&Software "Garmin Connect for Android" with a lot of collegues with the same problem/symptoms and different smartphones.

    Hi all, after 6 days last re installation, the notifications still working. The version of the last re installation was 4,23 and a few days later was upgraded to 4.23.1 without problems. I also checked the options in Connect App of no automatic upgrade and disabled the power saving (optimization) option. I think the problem is solved (crossing my fingers ;-)

    I've been having the same issue on my One+ 6 for about the last month or so. I upgrade the app every time and I'm still having the same issue.  The only thing that works is uninstalling and reinstalling the app but that only lasts a few hours max. I really wish garmin would fix this.
