Configure data-fields on rest screen

I am wondering if it's possible to configure the data-fields shown on the rest-screen. I have seen the settings to configure the datafields in the settings for the activity, but I would like to be able to configure what is shown when in the rest-mode.
Most of all, I would like to be able to ad total activity time, but possibly also current time (clock) in there.
Is it possible to configure the rest-timers of the activites, or is it just possible for the active scrreens?

You need a watchface fo do that. Try "Time Flies" https://apps.garmin.com/it-IT/apps/2d5d9e52-7196-4139-a079-9478f39aee4d: it has the stuff you want, is very configurable, and much more: I love it!
  • You can’t configure what is shown when an activity is paused. If the VA3 is like other watches, you should be able to go back to the data fields — I don’t own a VA3 but I think the gesture is Swipe Right. (For a 5-button watch, it would be Press Lap/Back). Unfortunately the pause screen will come back after a few seconds of inactivity. You may be able to prevent this by occasionally tapping on the screen. (I’m not sure if this will work — on a 5-button watch you could press other buttons to do the same.)

I've spoken to Garmin Support and would also like to see the current time on the activity Rest screens. I hope this would be a simple update from Garmin. I don't know anyone who wouldn't like to see that.

On the VA3, when you are resting during an activity like Swimming, for example, the screen touch is disabled so you can't change screens. Then the button starts the next interval, or long press stops the activity.
