Daniel, I know your post is old but the same thing just happened to me yesterday. I could tell when it happened - my pace started bouncing all around on the watch and didn't seem right, but the watch kept showing the distance increasing so I didn't realize until the run was finished what had happened. It seems to have ended up with the right distance and approximately the right pace, but no elevation data or GPS trace from that point on.
This happens to me on long (>10km) runs after EACH firmware upgrade, and gets fixed only if I do a factory reset, keeping (some) user data.
I am experiencing the same issue. It happenes every now and then. I do not see any correlation to other events. The tracking is lost. I happened after a few minutes or after half an hour - so, any time. I disabled now Move IQ Event recording. Will check if that is in conflict with the recording.
Hi Patrick, I had this about 5 times already and then it was fine again for a while before it happened again. Hope dies last - but it dies :(
I received email response from Garmin support who recommend "Restoring All Default Settings". I did, now I´m waiting what happens. If the problem persists, Garmin asks me to bring it back to the dealer.
