Calibration to treadmill

Hi

When I try and calibrate my VA3 to the treadmill distance only certain digits become available as per the images attached. I understand for the first digit it seems to determine by time if 0, 0 or 1 etc become available but vy the 3rd digit surely 0-9 should be available.

  • I've noticed that as well.

It feels as if there's an internal limit to prevent someone from over-exaggerating how far they ran/walked on the treadmill.
As if the watch is saying, "There's no way you covered that much distance."

My discrepancies range from .25 and .40 miles but this limitation makes it difficult to calibrate the watch correctly.
  • Totally get they don't want someone putting 30km for a 25 min run. However I did 14km today and had to actually exaggerate my run to 14.29 as this was the closest it would allow me to select. Clever idea, buggy implementation. And I haven't seen a new beta software in a while.

Interestingly it's only been happening the last two weeks since I've been doing longer distances. Not sure if the two are related.
  • Did you ever figure out what the issue is? I'm having this problem on my Vivoactive 4 as well.

    • Hi ...I have vivoactive 4 ..the instructions say it's possible to set the distance correctly after the run when on a treadmill ..I cannot find that option ..I just get a screen where I can save or delete ...anyone have an idea how to do this ..thanks
  • You need to have gone at least a mile and then when you stop the activity, you get a display with a green Save activity display and 3 dots. If you choose the 3 dot menu, calibration is an option.

  • A foot pod might be a better option for indoor running/walking for better accuracy.

  • I've just got my VA4s and despite reading the website instructions, I also can't the option to calibrate.

Have you managed to work it out?
