Virtual Partner

Hi, I own a 935 and use the Virtual Partner feature to pace myself for races (set a 4:00 per km for a run yesterday and broke a PB with it's help). I can't seem to find any mention of this feature on the VivoActive3 - does this watch support this feature as one of the data screens when used for running? If not, is there any other way I can set a target pace into the watch and see at a glance if I'm up or down on it over the course of a run?

How are people using the VivoActive to pace themselves?

alexpez There is no virtual partner feature on the VA3. I saw an IQ app that works similar, but I don't know if it's available for the VA3. I'm curious though, why go from a 935 to a VA3? The VA3 is good for what it does, but feature wise it's quite a step back from the 935.
  • I use MoRunFields data field which is able to display Pace / Average Pace / Estimated Finish Time on the single screen. You can also set up pace alerts in the Run application settings.
  • Thanks for the info.

Its a gift for someone else who may run with it. Gone with the Vivosport as it has a virtual pacer (close enough) - although oddly, I can't seem to set the pace below 4min per KM (and talking of odd - my old 405 used to allow me to set the pace of the virtual partner to the second, but the 935 only allows it to the nearest 5 seconds).
  • Ultra Virtual Partner works great on the VA3 but requires a full-screen layout (1 field layout), ie all your data layout have to be 1 field in the run activity as the VA3 can't have different layouts for different data screen within the same activity...
