When doing bicycling indoor i use the VA 3 and Edge 1000, both «feed» from Scosche Rhythm+ Heart Rate Activity Monitor, on a one hour session i have 20-25% different reading on the calories. All personal parameters are equal in both devices, so which of them should i trust ?
Did a 90 minute easy ride this morning. Used the Edge 1000 with the scoche and the built in monitor on the VA3. Her’s the numbers : Edge: average hr: 105. Max hr: 126. Vo2max 42. Calories 853 VA3. : average hr: 107. Max hr: 132. Vo2max 45. Calories 677. Always fun being a beta tester for Garmin. The question still the same, could i trust some of these numbers? Probably NOT.
