Using VA3 with 2 phones

I would like to use my VA3 with iPhone and a Pixel. I know the VA3 can’t be connected to both simultaneously but I am trying to find the easiest way to switch which phone the VA3 is connected to without having to remove and readd the device each time. Any tips?
  • That I would like to know as well :-)
  • What you need to do is turn off bluetooth on the device you don't want to connect to at the moment. Having both devices nearby can cause confusion. I'm paired to both my Android phone and my iPad. I was having all sorts of issues connecting to my Android phone this morning. Then I finally realized that the watch was already connected to the iPad. I turned off my iPad's bluetooth and it connected right away to my phone.
  • I tried that but when I want to reconnect to the first phone (after turning Bluetooth off), simply turning Bluetooth back on doesn’t work. I have to remove and then re-add/re-pair.
  • Try it by going to the devices display in GCM then drag down and turn off bluetooth on the first phone. Then go back to GCM. It should prompt you that GCM wants to turn on bluetooth. Say yes and wait about 10 to 20 seconds. That should work and is a lot easier than repairing.
  • I'm pretty sure the VA3 (and all activity watches) are designed to be paired with a single device ... so managing multiple device pairing would probably require some hoops to jump through.

My VAHR paired with both my iPad and my 6s, of course not at the same time. One device would have to be shut off or out of range. It was nice having this available, but this isn’t the case when using VA3. It can’t or won’t connect to my iPhone at all, even when rebooting, re pairing both GCM and phone. If it worked on the HR, it should be possible on the 3.

The VA3 will pair with a second phone. I have mine paired with my personal and work phone. Did the same with my FR235. I connect to my personal phone and then turn off Bluetooth on my VA3 when I get to work. I turn the VA3's Bluetooth back on and the watch connects to my work phone. Same process when I leave work back to my personal phone. No issues for me.
