VA3 battery drain after vibrate alarm

Hello all,
I've seen numerous posts regarding battery life, but none covering the scenario I'm seeing with my vivoactive3, (if I've missed it, apologies).

I've had my VA3 for a fortnight and seen some very strange battery drain rates:
First charge lasted 2 days.
Fully charged it ahead of a round of golf - 85% to 0% drain in 1.5 hours, which gave me serious misgivings about the watch as no round will complete in that time.
Next charge lasted 2 days - not as expected, but at least it lasted over a day.
Next charge lasted 5 days - no activities, just general walking on my long weekend in Poland and smart phone notifications.
This last charge has lasted 2 days, but surprisingly, after setting the vibrate alarm for this morning (which worked), the watch has gone from 52% to 0% in 1.5 hours!?!?

I'm on the latest 2.6 firmware, carried out the hard reset as advised by support team, but has anyone else noticed a drastic battery drain after using the alarm? I say this, because I used the vibrate alarm ahead of my round of golf, so it's twice I've used the alarm and twice the battery has fallen off a cliff!

Thanks in advance,
Steve

I think you have a possible hardware issue. I use a vibrate wake alarm 7 days a week and have not seen this. Sorry

Had the same problem with the golf app. When I checked both glonass and GPS were on. That might cause the battery problem. Haven't gone golfing since but did 25min run and the battery use was fine after it.

Thanks for the info feroxman, much appreciated.
Charged back up on Friday afternoon and tested the alarm quite a bit and not seen the battery drain as quickly - still on 46% after GPS walk and run. Lord knows what was running in the background to cause it then.
Will definitely check the GPS/Glonass settings when I can finally get back out on the course...probably next Spring, being in Wales!!! ;-)
    Thanks again,
    Steve.

Do you find the alarm vibration strong enough to wake you up in the mornings?

jwdean26, I wouldn't rely on it waking me! I've used it for a fortnight and there's been a few times that my mobile (backup set 5mins after the VA3 alarm), has gone off to wake me. I guess if you're in a deep sleep phase, it won't wake you.

feroxman, how do you change the GPS/GPS&Glonass setting in the golf app? Can see the option in walk and run, but nothing for golf. It just goes straight to acquiring satellite and of we go.

Yes. Compared to the Gear S2 I had before it is better
