VA3 Looks Great with Stainless Steel Band!

What do you think? Thumbs up or down? I personally think it looks great. Dresses it up fine and easy to change out when you go for a run. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1271215.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1271216.jpg
  • That does look pretty sharp. Does it have the quick release pins?
I've never been a big fan of those bracelet type bands though because the ones I've had in the past are always pulling out arm hair.

Yes, it has the quick release pins. I've never really had a problem with hair pulling on this type of band. I have on some others, but not this link type.

So with the quick release pins, do you have to buy special bands? I thought it was supposed to use any standard watch band since its a common width or something.

Stainless band does look nice, though draws a little bit of attention to the plastic case with the extensions for the band

It's just any standard 20mm watch band. Works best if the bands have the quick release pins. Much easier to get the band off and on and switch out when needed. Got the band in the picture off Amazon for around $17.
  • The quick release pins mentioned here aren't the same as the Quick Fit used on the the Fenix 5 and FR935 watches which are Garmin specific. I have 2 nylon quasi-NATO bands with the quick release pins and a leather strap with the regular spring pins. It takes a little longer swapping the leather strap mainly because I don't have the proper tool for it and just use the tip of my pocket knife.
