Watch and connect symbol?

I just bought the Venu. I had begun to set it up and have been having an issue installing apps and setting my watch face. I forced reset the watch and this is all I am able to see. I cannot move past this to work with the watch. I have deleted the apps from my iPhone and reset my phone as well as turned the watch back off. I am at a loss. Has anyone seen this!?

  • Hello! This symbol indicated its waiting to pair with your phone. Have you opened the Garmin app to add the device back? Be sure to not pair in the Bluetooth settings but in the actual App. Let me know if you need further assistance. 

  • Hi there! I’m having this same issue - I’ve tried everything (power off, reset to default, delete apps on phone, switch off phone). 
    it seems to be an issue with the watch, it is possible to manually set up the watch but I constantly need to press the back button and quickly select an option or insert date/time (pressing back displays the setup options for less than 1 second before going straight back to this connect screen)

    when the watch is set up it does not return to the connect screen, but the problem with being unable to pair with phone continues.

    My phone finds the watch instantly when trying to pair with phone however when I click to connect on the phone, the 6 digit code does not appear on watch and the connection fails. The watch will display this connect screen nonstop.

  • Hi, just to update on this... I was able to connect my watch to my friends android phone but unfortunately my iPhone is still not able to connect with the watch.

  • 1 final update on this.

    I have successfully connected the watch to my iPhone again. I had to “forget device” from the main Bluetooth settings menu on iPhone and then when I went to connect in the connect app it worked.
