(Known Issue) GPS tracking totally wrong since 2 days

Hi everyone,

i have the Venu since approx. 1 year. GPS tracking always works fine for me while running or cycling. Now since two days, the tracking is totally wrong. Although it has stable GPS connection, the saved track is totally wrong. Start and Stop do not match and the route is completely different from what i actually ran, sometimes nearly 1 km off in parts of my town where i definetly haven´t been to. Does anyone else have a similar problem.

My girlfriend has similar problems with her Vivomove 4.

    I have also downloaded garmin express and still cannot get a curren Cpe 

    Can anyone help?

  • Not impacting everyone, but it is a system-wide issue impacting multiple device types, not only Garmin devices.

      On your watch, if you go to System > About and CPE shows Expired, please give 5 full minutes outdoors with no movement before every Outdoor activity. This is a workaround while our engineers get the issue resolved.

      We hope to have this issue resolved as quickly as possible and this issue is our #1 highest priority.

    • Me too, the shape of the activity looks ok, but there is a huge offset

    • I bought my Venu 24th December, and from 28th I have problems with GPS. At the beginning watch incorrectly calculated GPS altitude what caused on number of floors, now additionally I have problem with path accuracy. Do you think that problem with altitude is connected with error of GPS system? 

    • My CPE has updated to current overnight. Hoping this will help

       I have Venu watch for over a week now. First running and walking activities were tracked very accurate but few days ago GPS gone mad and is no longer tracking my position. Today I got a 15 km error. I run 10km circle and my track is off my location and totally doesn't follow any of my running. And is recorded as a ten meters straight strack instead of 10km circle. Looking for any solution here on forum, but I have done all the steps sugessted (deleting REMOTESW folder, switching from GPS, to GPS+GLONASS or Gallileo - nothing seems to help and even made my case worse).  Is my device broken or are there any other solutions??

      I reset my watch to factory defaults yesterday and since then it worked, but it might also be caused by the updated CPE.

    • My too when I today connected Venu to wi-fi. Test run - perfect GPS track.
