Amoled screen burn during activity?

Hi all,

I see that watch faces supporting Always On use cunning tactics to prevent screen burn; yet when I'm in an activity the screen appears to be constantly on.., if I'm biking for two hours what's to prevent the data fields from burning in?

Cheers,

Doug

  • If you'll notice you see that the screen goes dim (the intensitiy of the pixels decreases) once in a while, this should be sufficient to get the screen to not have burn in. Also the intensity of the pixel lighting seems to depend on the brightness of your environment.

Having said that though, it would be good to have a mode where you can choose Always On for the watch face and not always on for the activity in order to extend the battery life while "in activity", but this is not something that's possible.
