My venu sq keeps disconnecting from Bluetooth on my phone and needs to be reconnected manually. How do I get it to automatically reconnect?

I can see, that this has been an issue a couple of years ago, I just encountered it now, for some reason. Has there been a software update to cause relapse? I tried to delete the Garmin connect app, and downloaded it again. Turned off my venu sq and re-connected it with Garmin Connect. It just keeps disconnecting, asking for a code. 

It's really annoying!
