After 7 days, I can't update my Venu Sq.
I have checked with Garmin and they say to keep waiting.
It doesn't seem logical to me.

To update a device to new firmware works best via garmin express on a computer.
If you have the venusq non-music version (which is very limited in storage space) then in addition you might need to clear some data from the device before the device can actually store the firmware update.
I have done, both Express and Connect, I tried also to reset the watch and deleted all data, nothing to do, it seems 4.70 the last version, so isn't possible upgrade to 4.80
Thanks for the help, but it's impossible.
I always update with Garmin Express.
I have erased all the data on the watch and I never have the option to update to version 4.80.
And the data fields don't work for me.
Has anyone managed to update this device to version 4.80.???
Trying to install 4.80 using Garmin Express on a computer is futile as well. My Venu SQ has half the watch's memory space available and I still get the "need to clear memory space" message. If the update cannot be installed on my Venu SQ with that much space available, then the thinking behind the update was faulty. Users should not have to fight the watch to install an update....and this happens more frequently than not. C'mon guys.
the storage on the regular venusq is indeed very limited. if you have a regular venusq then you may need to clear activity recordings before you can proceed with the update (remove contents from folder /garmin/activity or delete activity history on the watch itself).
temporarily removing connect iq apps can help a little bit too to free some space, after the firmware update completed you can reinstall them
