Venu Sq stuck in SW 2.70

My girlfriends Venu Sq does not receive the updates to 2.90 or the current 3.00 and is still on 2.70. Is there a known issue? A reset did not do the job.

    I had the same problem.  There wasn’t enough memory free on the watch.  The solution is to attach it to a PC via the charging cable, delete all the .fit files (after syncing) in the Garmin Activity folder.  After that open up Garmin Express on the PC and do the update from there.  It needs a large amount of memory to download the install file which will be deleted after the upgrade.  I still didn’t have enough memory so had to temporarily delete all of my downloaded watch faces from the watch.  After the upgrade I re-installed them.
