Google voice assistant issue

I updated my venu3 to latest firmware (13.19) just a few minutes ago and I was happy to read in changelog report "Improvements to Voice Assistant interactions with various Android phones"

My happiness stopped just later to have a long press on central button of my V3

I've not any ideas about to solve it.

In others post, anyone suggest to unistall Google app in Smartphone and don't update it to last version. I done it but without solutions.

Last idea is to perform a factory reset to V3 but I'm almost certain that it no works.

Any experiences about? Advices?

I have a Pixel 9 Pro. It works fine if the phone is unlocked. I followed each instructions regarding GA : watch as trusted device, GA on lock screen and all authorizations in Garmin Connect.

Still, no success when phone is asleep. When I remove all locking features and keep only PIN, it works.

I have installed both 13.18 and 13.19, Google voice assistant does not work with either version. Watch says connecting to voice assistant, VA is triggered on the phone. Watch says could not connect to VA.

Watch is set as trusted device, VA is allowed on lock screen, Google is set as default VA

Tried removing device from Connect, removing from Bluetooth and adding back. Did not resolve.

Exact same behaviour here.

Activating the assistant via venu 3... assistant opens on phone but watch then fails to connect.

Phone is pixel 8a android 15. Venu 3 13.7

Also I'm able to answer a phone call on the watch but the call happens on the phone, not through the watch.

Just found that if I only have pin unlock then all works fine.

Update - 3/19/25

My apologies that this issue has not been resolved for everyone in the beta releases. The resolution seems to vary based on the phone manufacturer and operating system. We would appreciate it a great deal if folks that still have this behavior could provide the following

Provide Make/Model and OS of your phone
Send the App Logs From the Garmin Connect App to Garmin Product Support ( A reference code is required, please post if one is needed)

Please let me know if you upload the above so that I can add your information to the Support Case

Same here. I unpaired and connected again and the Garmin connect tells me that my phone is not compatible with the VA and phone calls. I'm using Samsung S23 ultra on OneUI 6.1. I am still seeing the bluetooth device connected as 'watch' versus before where it said 'Venu 3'. This all got screwed up starting 13.17. Please fix ASAP as the 13.19 didn't do anything.

Same for me, voice assistant stopped working on my Venu 3 when I updated to v13.19. Using Honor Magic 5 Pro. OS Version Magic 9, Android version 15. The google assitant pops up in the phone but the watch remains in "Connecting to Voice Assistant" the whole time.
