Google Text Messages (RCS) - No Notifications

The latest version of Google Messages (the SMS and RCS app) does not give any notifications on my Venu 3. Had the same problem on my Vivoactive 4. Is there a fix or work around? I have a feeling it's due to the new security features tied to RCS messaging, and the app not allowing third-party apps to access anything.

Thanks for your suggestion but I already checked the apps checked for notifications in Garmin connect. and there is only one message app. in doubt I had even checked the option to display all app notifications and that didn't work either...

I FINALLY got it to work with an android setting in Notifications - app notifications - messages - additional settings - RCS chats on my Pixel 9.

I was able to get this fixed on my Samsung S22 by going to settings>notifications>advanced settings>conversations. Attaching screenshots for a visual aid. In conversation, if there is an issue it will have a conversation listed of a specific contact and not say "no modified conversations" mine originally had my partners phone number only in here. One I removed it, I started getting notifications again. Adding my system info for additional info.
