venu 3 functions for VENU 2

The New Garmin Venu 3 has the functions long requested for Our Venu 2:
It's just a software issue, I think it could be implemented without a problem on the VENU 2!!

power meter support (ANT+ & Bluetooth Smart)
smart trainer support (ANT+ FE-C)
Sleep Coach feature, including sleep recommendation factors
Nap detection support (new to Garmin, finally!)
HRV tracking support (at night)
Morning Report feature
Daily Summary report feature (new to Garmin)
Recovery Time

  • The last "major" added feature was basicly " the ability to set Gender to Unspecified" ... Venu line has an exceptionally poor history of adding features. If you want new features added to an already-owned watch look for Coros. if you are okay with the "wysiwyg" + bugfixes strategy buy Garmin.

  • It’s a shame

Bringing some of the new features to former watches once the replacement has been released seems to be a common practice in other brands as far as the hardware can handle them,

It seems a good thing to keep customers loyalty and let them taste some pills on what to expect with the new release.

I think Garmin has done that with the Forerunner family,

Since I purchased my Venu2 the most exciting releases have been Disc Golf, Jump and Gaming activities…

I am definitely not upgrading to Venu 3 just to get those new features and I do not think I’ll go for a Garmin, at my Venu2 expiration, either as far as they keep this policy.

    Let’s se what they do…

  • I've had a Venu 2 for nearly 2 years. After they released the 2+ I had hoped we'd start seeing some updated UI and capabilities from that new line, but it appears we've been left in the dust.

I hope Garmin changes their minds but we all know it's a hit unlikely Unamused
