Garmin Pay - Wallet is Empty

Hi, I've searched for and seen the reports from 2 & 3 years ago.

I have the same situation, After initially appearing to be enabled on my device I find my card is enabled in Connect and synced with my Venu2Plus but on pressing "wallet" I get the message " Wallet is Empty, Set up the wallet using the Garmin connect app. I've -

  1. Deleted the card from connect & revalidated it. (still no card on the device)
  2. Synced the device, turned it off/on deleted connect, reloaded it, and repaired my phone to the device (still, no card on the device though still present in the connect app)

I've only had the device a week and initially, I thought I had the card working but on each occasion, I presented it the card reader demanded I insert the card & enter the PIN, I did this on at least two occasions. Now I get the "Wallet Empty" message.

Can you please advise what further steps I should take?
