Index Smart Scale Giving "Incorrect Wifi" Error

I've had my scale for around a year - working delightfully. Over the weekend it stopped connecting to Wifi, I saw there was a Garmin outage and let it be. Today I tried resetting the router since it still wouldn't work.

The scale is registered to my Garmin Connect, but I cannot get farther than the Wifi password screen. Every time I enter my password, Garmin responds with an error message. I assure you, my password is correct. There was a note on my Connect account that there was an update available for the scale so I'm wondering if this is a botched software update. If so, how can I roll it back?

I have rebooted my phone, deleted the scale from my Connect account, taken the batteries out of the scale and done a hard reset. How do I connect to Wifi?
