Garmin logo and weight

Hallo, what is the reason that you shouldn't touch the Garmin logo of the scale? Today I touched it during using the scale and the scale measured a very wrong value. Is this by coincidence?
  • Garmin logo is metal. Metal is conductive and will disrupt the electrical signal being transmitted from the scale which is intended to go up one leg and down the other, to form a circuit. Touching the logo will be a short circuit.
