Index S2 - no weather data shown

Have you guys all reported the issue to Garmin or just hoping it starts working?

I reported the issue to Garmin and provided Garmin a link to this forum chat.

Same. This scale is a piece of junk. The metrics are wildly inaccurate as well. The only thing that was useful other than the weight was the weather. Contacting customer support doesn't help. Hello? Garmin? Garmin? Buehler? Buehler? Your overpriced scale isn't working! Might want to engage with this thread. 

I understand your frustration. I don't think they give existing products as much attention as what they should.

Same here, no weather since purchase (about 1 week ago). 

Same here, worked perfectly until about 2 weeks ago

Worked fine for ~yr, but the last 4 days no weather. Other devices (like iPhone) have zero problem pulling up weather. It appears Garmin is using a cheap technique for getting the weather i.e. IP address, 'standard weather stations', etc. An expensive scale shouldn't cut corners like that, they can afford geo location and a local weather service like other devices. The Index has a deserved poor reputation.

I’m in Aus and it hasn’t been working for mths
