Vector 3 - Bearing worn

I heard a clicking sound Wed night while on a group ride, last night figured out that it was my left (Vector 3) pedal. Took the pedal apart (per Garmin video) and cleaned and re-lubed the bearings, spindle, etc. Turns out there are bearings on one end and some sort of small bearing collar on the other end where the thin side of the spindle contacts, this smaller collar is the one feels rough and is clicking ( and I tried cleaning re-lubing it twice, to no avail). The pedal was first used in May of 2018, has over 3,000 miles on it. It still had lube in it, so not sure if servicing it earlier would have helped.

Garmin tech support was very helpful. Thanks Guys! They are sending me a body/kit so I can swap it it.

It was very easy taking apart and lubing, so now I'm going to service them more regularly.

Does anyone have more insight on the bearings I described?

Does anybody have a (re-lube) service interval they recommend?

The inboard end of the cartridge uses a roller bearings, while the outboard end uses a radial ball bearing.

Thank you - its was the 'radial ball bearing' that failed. It's small, I carefully poked at it to see if I could get in it with no success. The 'roller bearings' are easy to lube.

My vector 3S (right sided pedal is a dummy) right pedal bearing needed replacement after only 2.5yrs of summer only use. There was so much give between the spindle and the pedal body. I serviced the pedal as per the video. The spindle was fine. It was rhe bearings in the pedal body. I called customer support and they sent me a new right sided pedal body for free $159 cad value. Amazing customer service. They said the pedal bearings should last much longer than that.
