Vector 3 - Another Failure

This time two rides after replacing internals due to the H contacts failing on the right pedal I now have a different mode of failure on the left pedal.

This time the outer contact has failed. This product is starting to really worry me now having had two modes of failure with only 65 hours of use and 5 rides since replacing the circuit boards.

    Is the pedal body fully threaded on to the cartridge? Look at the pedal body at the end nearest the bike and see if there is any gap between the edge of the pedal body and the cartridge it is screwed on to. There should not be gap, it should be flush.

    Both pedals appear to be fully threaded between spindle and pedal body

    I have just had the same failure. Which meant on my recent cycling holiday I suffered from constant pedal dropouts, which was infuriating. 

    Also I have had two sets of the H shaped connector brake apart too. The connectors are obviously far too flimsy. 

    Customer services have been good in sending me replacements, but every time I remove the batteries a different connector is broken.

    I was lucky as my battery holder has survived so far. However there are drops. Now I try to use contact cleaning spray (just with some cloth) and if it would not help then the double battery will be the next one after Garmin's confirmation.

    Hello, 

    I have 30 ride files with my garmin 830 and garmin vector 3 pedals. 12 out of 30 files have data dropouts, or data with straight lines. This is beyond a grievance. I updated my garmin immediately after buying it, forgot the original version software number, but have updated twice in the last 40 days. I also troubleshot the pedals with baby oil (lol >1k product needs baby oil to improve function) which has not improved a thing. I have calibrated and re-calibrated and I am about to the point of never buying another garmin product again, for life.

    To rectify this problem you can replace my pedals and my headunit. In return, you can have my data files to improve your product for other users.
