T_Smit, I understand that you cannot openly share your thoughts on this.
My intent of sharing some design ideas is that it may trigger your design team to come up with something they have not thought of before. Engineering design is based on borrowing ideas from others, standing on the shoulders of everyone that came before.
I will continue to feed you some ideas and it would be great if you could comment on them to the extent that you can. The Garmin Forum is a great place to share ideas.
I was having the same problems all reported. With my vector 3.0 after software update and changing battery, right pedals constantly disconnecting, right pedal not recording cycling dynamics data, but power information show correctly. After updating FW to 3.15, bot problems seem to be solved after 3 rides.
The cork solution worked with me. first ride without dropout!! 220km Before no ride worked, even not 30km.
For me this is clear evidence, that this is a hardware issue and all Baby oil and software is just a cover up.
Then can we expect a real engineered solution? THere are standards for contact pressure for contacts. I expect Garmin to fix this failure and to place a product recall. Can you give dates? Thansk
If we do not get dates I would go out to DC Rainmaker and the community to tell then, that Garmin does cover ups like Volkswagen on the Diesel Gate. I do not understand why Garmin does not a open Info on this, just tries to cover up with software and Baby oil. It's a shame for Garmin!
