Thanks both. Just tried that and still it is not picking up the update. I am using Vector 3S (single sided), so not sure if that has anything to do with it?
What OS is the PC you are using when copying the file to the Edge. It should not be possible to have 2 files of the same name and file extension in the same folder on the Edge.
Can you change the view you used for the image capture to show the file type?
make sure the edge 520 has the newest software version on it. I couldn't get mine to recognize the update either until I updated the edge 520 to the newest software version.
This screen capture is taken using the Edge 1000 but the others should show the upgrade version in the Software Update button, similar to the image below. If the version is not indicated as 3.15 then the upgrade image is not properly installed on the Edge:
I believe your 520 needs to be running the public beta 12.53 firmware. I updated my V3 pedals via my 520 running 12.53 without issue. Went for an hour indoor ride today with the 3.15 beta and everything is good with the pedals. To be fair I haven’t been having any issues with my V3 but at least the beta didn’t introduce anything new.
Okay, i have now installed 12.53 but still no joy, even after removing the V3 update form RemoteSW folder and re-adding once the Edge had updated to 12.53. One thing I had noticed is that before I tried doing all this, in the Edge 520, in the Vector sensor details, there was a heading saying software version: No Updates. That has now gone, although TBF, I didn't take much notice of that in the past, as I didn't need to make an update.
As with you mjgiorda my Vector 3S were working happily, I was just really curious to try the new software version.
